Arsenal have had a tough time trying to break down Wolves, who while playing as the home team set up with 5 at the back and were hoping to hit Arsenal on the break, the first half was rather scrappy with no real chances on goal for each side as Wolves look to frustrate Arsenal.
The frustration only grew as Xhaka was forced off with an injury and Fabio Viera came on in his place. This didn't inspire much confidence after the absolute stinker Viera had in midweek but it looks like the lad has taken his chance to come good and bag an assist to break the deadlock
Arsenal take the lead after 55 minutes as Jesus cut inside from the left before threading a delightful ball through for Vieira.
Fabio controls the ball and looks up for an option and he squares it across the face of the goal where Odegaard and Saka are waiting to tap it home! Odegaard gets the crucial touch, and that well-worked finish puts Arsenal 1-0 up with 10 gone in the second half!
The goal came from great work from Jesus who is still goalless in 10 games and would be desperate to get on the score sheet tonight especially since this is the lat game before the world cup.
Another incentive to get on the score sheet and also win this game is that it would extend Arsenals lead at the top of the table to 5 points as city has dropped 3 points after losing to Brentford earlier in the day.
