Arsenal seems intent on bringing in another forward and while Diaby and Mudryk and Pinto were the first on the list, all 3 of those players have seen their stock rise and would require mammoth bids to secure. We've already seen Arsenal screw up one big bid for a winger in the Pepe deal and they shouldn't be keen to repeat the same mistake again.
In recent transfer windows Arsenal have looked to the MLS for talent bringing in Americans Trusty and Turner, and they could be set to poach another MLS player in Orlando City forward Facundo Torres. The club and player have confirmed Arsenal is interested in the Uruguayan but talks over a transfer are not yet advanced.
Torres has scored nine goals and laid on 10 assists in Major League Soccer this season and caught the eye of Mikel when he netted against the Gunners in a pre-season friendly during the summer.

Mikel has 50 million to spend in bringing in players in January, which is only 2 months away, and perhaps he is keen on getting business done early to avoid price spikes from competitor bids. Torres would cost the gunners around £7 million which is more than fair for a 22-year-old unproven talent.
If he doesn't make it, he can be moved on loan or sold off at a higher price. If we look at Arsenal's possible future options upfront it would be
- Jesus
- Nketiah
- Nelson
- Martinelli
- Saka
- Marquinious
- Balogun
- Flores
Jesus should be considered number 1 while Nketiah's number 2 status is available to be poached next season should he not prove to be the goal scorer we need. Balogun looks set to bring fire power back to the Emirates having a solid season on loan in France.
Flores also on loan has yet to show that he can compete with Martinelli and Saka for wing play, while Nelson and Marq definitely have the potential to be alternative wingers.
I do think Marq at 19 will be sent out on loan while Nketiah could still be sold off, Nelson is on a free at the end of the season and could move on, so that all leaves room for Torres to come in, not to mention Pepe should be sold soon too..
