While not yet a crisis, Arsenal need to bounce back from their first draw of the season, they have been showing signs of fatigue in the last 3 games and none more so than livewire striker Jesus. While his efforts off the ball and his work rate remain high, his finishing hasn't been as sharp as it was in the first few games of the season.
No one is going to get on your back when you work hard for the team and they win but whenever a team is struggling to take its chances, the focus immediately falls on the striker.
Arsenal thought they found their goal machine in Gabby but he has hit a barren run of late. Gabriel Jesus to start scoring again soon or he doesn't deserve a place in the team. He made it to five games without getting a goal, and in a game where the Gunners really needed one, the 25-year-old fell short, and sadly Nketiah couldn't do much either when he came on.
Mikel Arteta stood on the sidelines a frustrated figure holding his head as his Arsenal side created chance upon chance only to fail to convert them. Jesus had a glut of great opportunities, often gifted to him by Martin Odegaard who wasn't able to convert any.
Jesus will need to start being more selfish in and around the box or we're going to have to drop him regardless of how much he brings to the team outside of goals.
Last season Arsenal dropped points in streaks, whereas this season, the Gunners managed to overcome the sole loss of the season at Old Trafford and fans are hoping they bounce back from this draw too.
Ensuring a response comes against Nottingham Forest is paramount as now a critical 6-pointer against the city draws ever closer. The focus will be on Jesus and whether he can end this goal drought and make good on his promise and push the Gunners to remain top of the table.
