I’ve been on a adventure.
But it’s probably not what you think. I haven’t been on a long road trip. I haven’t been trotting the globe as a digital nomad. I haven’t even been on an exciting weekend excursion or a wild all night romp. I’ve been grinding it out for three years, getting up early and making art before my family wakes up and it’s time to go to work. And it’s been a wild and challenging time.
We dissent.
I’m sure that many of you have heard these words recently. I think they’ve been on a lot of peoples’ minds for a long, long time, and for plenty of reasons: wanted and unwanted presidents, lockdowns, vaccinations, inflation, gun control, abortion, the environment, and so on. Whatever your beliefs, you must find yourself drawn to these words in some way.
I know I do.
But again.
It’s probably not what you think. My protest is against going to work. It’s not against working. It’s against going to a job that doesn’t do anything for me, but pay my bills and keep my family insured (which are both very important to me).
The bottom line is, I’m ready to move on. I’m needing to move on. And this is my recent stencil to show it.
