Another weekend roles around, and as ever on Saturday, I had a hockey match. This week, it was against one of the league leaders, West Wilts, so it was inevitably going to be a very tough game for us.
When I arrived at the pitch, I did think the game might be called off due to the amount of water that was on the pitch. However, it didn't turn out to be a problem.
To be honest, we were completely outplayed by a much better team. We ended up losing 1 - 9 (although there was a debate that it might have been 10 - 1), whichever, it was a heavy defeat that leaves us several points adrift at the bottom of the division.
Due to one of our players having to cancel his availability at the last minute, I ended up playing central defence. I enjoy playing in that position, but it means I run around a lot less than I normally do.
