My Actifitivity: October 20 2022

Thursday.

It's Friday already, so this is yesterday's actifitivity and more pics from Tuesday again.

Another peculiar and pretty mushroom that was hiding in the meadows. The title card shows how they present in the wild, barely at all, and below is what they look like once the veil of gras has been lifted.

Bright red buttons in the grass. These are not amanitas, though, these are ruby boletes. A close relative of the dotted stem bolete we looked at just a few days ago.

They also show the typically blue bruising reaction, especially on the pores, but not so much on the inside of the flesh.

These ones are not considered edible. They're not particularly poisonous but apparently they taste unpleasantly. According to wikipedia like soap, I haven't tried.

They certainly do look quite beautiful, though!

Thanks for your time!
