Monday.
The day started cloudy with a fresh breeze. In the morning it briefly looked like it was going to rain, but the clouds cleared up for another sunny day.
The forest out there is apparently still burning. No longer fully ablaze but small fires are continuing to flare up.
In the afternoon I took a walk out to the hidden lake in the forbidden forest. I haven't been here in a while.
The fires are less than a kilometer or two from this lake and the air around here had a distinct scent of burnt pines lingering.
As the evening arrived some clouds returned and finally brought some light rain. Not barely enough to make a big difference, but I am sure it still helped out there.
The fire brigade is still running non-stop convoys from the groceries store's parking lot out into the forest.
The weather forecast is predicting a good chance at some more rain tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
