The photo above is the Residency Building (Residentiekantoor) in Bogor which was published by Carl E. Lang in the album van Buitenzorg book circa 1880. At that time the Residency of Buitenzorg covered the area that is now the Regency and City of Bogor, the Regency and City of Sukabumi, Depok City, Cianjur Regency, and parts of Bekasi Regency and City.

This building still stands firmly today and is located in the Bogor Palace complex, its name is now the Bakorwil Building. If you visit the Bogor Botanical Gardens, make sure to also take a look at this building for a moment.
