Kenari Street in Bogor Botanical Garden, 1880

The Bogor Botanical Garden is an icon of the city of Bogor. Anyone who goes to Bogor is incomplete if they have never visited the Bogor Botanical Garden. Its location that is not far from Bogor Station makes the Bogor Botanical Garden easy for tourists to visit. Even walking all day won't make you too tired because of beautiful scenery that rarely found anywhere else.

One of the most famous spots in the Bogor Botanical Garden is Jalan Kenari. As one of the main roads in the Bogor Botanical Garden, of course, this road is passed by many people. The photo above was Kenari Street in circa 1880 published by Carl E. Lang in his book.

About 140 years adrift, below is the current Kenari Street. Its trademark remained unchanged, a path shaded by large trees beside it.
