Fabric Makers in Sukabumi, 1911

Two teenage girls were making fabric in front of a house in Sukabumi around 1911. One girl was spinning cotton into yarn, and another girl was weaving yarn into fabric.

This photo was taken by Jean Demmeni, a photographer of French-Madurese descent living in West Sumatra, and the archive is kept by Leiden University in the Netherlands.
