Anai Valley Waterfall is a well-known tourist destination since ancient times, it began to become a tourist destination around 1922. Until now, this area is still a tourist destination of choice for tourists.
This photo is of the Anai Valley waterfall circa 1911, possibly before it became a tourist destination. Taken by Jean Demmeni, a photographer of French-Madurese descent living in West Sumatra, and archived by Leiden University in the Netherlands.
