Photo of a gas station in Purwokerto before the first Dutch military aggression, July 1947. You can see a building whose roof is damaged, but its walls are still solid with graffiti "Stay Free! Liberty is the right of every nation".

On the tank of the gas station you can see the initial KPM, the Dutch oil company operating in Indonesia at that time.

The first Dutch military aggression brought international pressure to the Netherlands, which was considered to have violated the sovereignty of other countries. The Dutch finally surrendered to international pressure and prolonged war, they left Indonesia at the end of 1949.
