Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor of China. Born in the Qin dynasty, he was the son of prince Yiren (who would ascend the throne in later years).
His mother was reported to be Zhao Ji, but historic recordings indicate that it was not King Zhuangxiang of Win that fathered the first emperor, but Lu Buwei.
This illegitimacy is widely known in Chinese history but there is still possibility that this notion was a ploy and deception against Qin Shi Huang.
