In a small town in Ikot Obio Inyang, lived a pretty young woman who could read and write but really didn't have a platform to really display her talent. Apart from facebooking, twitting and whatsapping, there have never been an opportunity.

Back in 2009, with fingers shaking, I hit publish on my very first blog post. I was fearful of what people would think. That left me with many questions such as; what will people say? Am I just part of the noise markers online, how will my post inspire people? How far will the article get? I wasn't too sure.

A few weeks ago, I evasdropped on a discussion from some guys in my church how they had been writing and making money on blurt, interestingly I heard one said his new phone was purchased by the money he made on blurt. As shocked as I was, decided to move closer to them to really understand what they were saying, it was there, I got introduced.

Blurt, as I was told is a social media platform but quite different from the others, I was also informed of the various communities coming onboard where I can display my talents. You are also paid for writing and commenting on article, it sounded so good to be true.

My name is Promise Gideon Issac, female, from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Every 25th December (usually referred to as Christmas day) , I celebrate my birthday with friends, cutting of cakes and sometime throw party to celebrate the big day. Graduated from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria,a graduate of Linguistics, but currently planning for my masters in Public Administration. I am a Christian and a sanctuary keeper in my local church, I just love to work for God.

Presently, am a staff at the Akwa Ibom State house of Assembly, uyo. I am a very private person, don't keep friends because of my previous experiences. Most of my spare time is invested in reading books, studying and singing and when am not doing any of these, I stay indoors sleeping and relaxing my nerves.

Am good at motivating people, I am an entrepreneur and deal on a whole lots of product. I can bake and do other fries, above all I love cooking.

Am believing that my being here will bring great inputs to this great community. Am hoping, I will make new friends as well here as I improve my writing and communication skills. God made it possible for me to be here and at this time i thank Him.
