The poor trade their time for money.
The wealthy trade their money for time.
In the beginning, we ALL start with nothing.
We are taught to trade our time for money. It's a fair trade.
Time = Money.
We amplify this equation by acquiring skills.
Time x Skills = More Money.
We then acquire highly specialized rare skills to get even more value for the time.
Time x Skill (to the power of rare) = Even More Money.
... the lesson of money is that you have to get money to earn money for you. You have to get your money to work for you.
This is the distance of "wealth".
The wealthy trade their money for time.
Time is the currency of exchange. The mindset of those that are foreign to this understanding is that more money is an end no matter the means.
Money is a means. A means to what?
To travel.
To create memories.
To change and influence the lives of others.
To experience the majesty of the wonders of this life.
And the trick is simple: live a simple life. Waste no money. Don't be caught by the flashy trappings.
The simpler your life, the more time your money will buy you.
PS: I enjoy nice things too. But all things in moderation.
