Blessed day

When people take certain sacrifices for granted.

My cousin's fiancee waited 5years for him to return from France. In those years, there was no communication for 3years.

She later gave another young man a chance on the 5th year, and they got married the following year. They have 2 kids now.

This is 9years, and my cousin is yet to be back.

He called recently, and just found out that his fiancee got married few years ago. I expected him not to blame her as a cultured man, and he lived up to the expectation -- "It's my fault" he said.

But his friend believes she ought to have waited.

"She should have waited! We are coming back this year!!"

I smiled, and didn't know how to tell him that there was no logic in what he was saying.

He kept ranting, probably to uphold his friend's ego.

My cousin was sad, but I'm glad he knew it was 100 % his fault. He knows how I advocate on not wasting people's time. You were not in jail, nor were you incapacitated. What stopped you from reaching out those 3years?

Inasmuch as love should be divine, time is essential in everything.

I hail the lady for waiting up to 5years -- it was obvious that my cousin took it for granted.

And the funny thing? I'm not even sure they're coming back this year😂

If you're a guy or lady, and you have someone waiting for you, please don't take it for granted.

Waiting, is not easy, and time as we know it, can be unfair.
