In Valencia, Spain, firefighters and other officials found 10 people who didn't survive after a fire destroyed a tall apartment building. because of the building's outer covering and strong winds, it was said to aid the fire in spreading quickly. The authorities have given three days to remember those who lost their lives although the causes l of the fire is yet to be a verified.
People thought a family and two older adults were missing, but now no one else is being looked for. The investigation is kept secret, but it seems the fire moved fast through a certain type of covering on the building. This covering was okay to use when the building was made in 2008, but it's not allowed anymore. However, there wasn't a plan to remove this covering like there was in the UK after a big fire there.
According to eye witness ,The fire seems to have started on the fourth floor and spread to the next building. Firefighters couldn't get above the 12th floor. Now, the buildings are just burnt-out shells, and drones had to be used to check inside because it was too hot.
As people learned how bad the fire was, they heard about brave acts, like a caretaker named Julián who tried to help people escape. A resident named Manuel saw the fire grow very quickly.
Fifteen people were hurt, including firefighters, and two stayed in the hospital but weren't in danger.
