Well, the long awaited AFCON has come and gone with the final played yesterday. Anyway it wasn't really a good feeling yesterday as my country (Nigeria) Lost in the final.
The match started well with the Nigeria team making promising start to the game and broke the dreadlock when trost-ekong scored from a header. They managed to hold down the ivorian for the first 45 minutes even though the ivorians threatened them seriously, but the Nigerian national team was able to absorb the pressure bit by bit.
The second half started with the ivorians continuing their threat , it look as if the Nigerian national team were absorbing the pressure bit bit until Franck kessie equalized. Minutes later, the winner was scored by sabistian Haller who I heard was once diagnosed for cancer. The ivorians were able to hold down the game till 90mins thus becoming the winner of this AFCON competition.
Well a big congratulations to the Nigerian team as it's not easy to walk Their way to final. Also a big congratulations to the ivorian national team for their victoy.
