Good morning and happy Sunday, yesterday service was good as usual so I will like to share some of the lessons from yesterday church service.
The topic of yesterday was centered on good works, Faith and power of prayer.
Isaiah chapter 38, from Verse 1-6, talks about the story of King Hezekiah's illness. In these verses, king Hezekiah was informed by the prophet that he will not recover from his sickness and will die. However, instead of giving in to the prophecy as others would have done upon hearing this, Hezekiah prayed to God, and God responds by adding another 15 more years of life.
Now just like from the topic, their are 3 important lessons to learn here .
1, Faith:
We should learn to have faith in God, Hezekiah had so much faith in God that he believed that his prater will definitely be answered and God will grant him his heart desires.
2, power of prayer:
The power of prayer was also emphasized as it was the saviour tho king Hezekiah life. Also since prayer is the only way we can communicate directly with Gof , it is also a vital component in the life of any Christian as that's the only way we can communicate with our father in heaven.
3, Good works:
It is also important as a Christian that we engage in good works, even if not because our father in heaven commanded us but because it will also be of a good help to our fellow human beings who are also in need of help.
