Heat for Need for Speed
I decided to spice things up a bit by playing in a new heat today, namely Need for Speed after spending an absurd amount of time attempting to beat Hades at heat 32 because howo had to mention that's where he's at, Since I've been a fan of NFS since the beginning, albeit more lately and I saw this game on sale on Steam I figured why not. This offered me the opportunity to test out the new controller I bought for use with games like these on my new computer and I have to admit that it's one of the few games where a keyboard and mouse combo just can't compete with a joystick's fluidity.
OBS was making it tough for me to record this game at a lower resolution and when I tried to record it at the resolution I was playing it at, the encoder wasn't having it and gave me a blank screen recording. It took me some time to understand that I needed to change to an encoder that could handle that resolution, but when I performed my little testing, I naturally was unaware that the bitrate was really low because the picture appeared acceptable while "nothing was moving about" in the menu screen, My first recording, which is the longest had terrible quality as a result, which is why I opted to do another.
I chose to do another recording on the same day was to attempt to make up for it by letting you see the game's quality despite the fact that it was released at the end of 2019 and is now somewhat dated.
Anyway here are the recordings in the second video I decided to also reduce the game volume because it turned out that it was louder than anticipated and made it much more difficult for my subpar microphone to pick up what I was saying I hope you'll pardon my lack of preparation because I don't publish gaming stuff very frequently these days, I'll try to do better in the near future but I'm hoping the resolution won't make it too tough to see.
The automated live subtitles are terrible but I'm going to leave them on since they make the videos kind of humorous to me
Thank you for viewing and please comment on Need for Speed! I haven't really followed it much during the past ten yearsbut now that I have an Xbox controller, I'm definitely on the lookout for some newer racing games although I'm currently more interested in fighting games.
