The Joy of success
Welcome I salute you all for the wonderful work you have done in this community and I'm happy to be able to share what I've learned with you We are grateful that our feelings have given us this chance to share with friends which is one of the nicest parts of life.
I'll be talking about the excitement and delight that come from accomplishing something worthwhile that may have required more effort, time and resources.
The first that comes to mind is the one that occurred during my project defense in my finals about five (5) years ago We really wanted to be done with school because it was no longer exciting and the stress was over the bar, If you know anyone who attended a Nigerian university, you will know that at this time all you need to do is complete your defense and enter the job market, However, for many weeks, our project defense were being debated. It was an act of defiance.
For some of my coworkers this was not a big deal because they had enough supplies to last them as long as possible However for me, it was a big deal because it was constantly on my mind and had a significant impact on everything around me including how well I prepared for the project defense.
It was a big burden on my mind but after another three months or so, the defense was over I was thrilled and excited not just because I was finished but also because this boy would finally return home to eat mummy's food, I was so happy that I even forgot to snap photographs with my friends and coworkers but I also realized that unrestrained freedom may be a dangerous thing.
While we were all waiting for the defense to start, I had plans to travel to the north of my country to see a long-time family friend but since the project wasn't finished yet, I was unable to make the trip, However once the defense was over I moved sincerely and the trip was successful.
After the relief of successfully defending my project I saw that it was as though a door to joy opened and from that point on, it went from one degree of delight to another.
I could go on and on about what it's like for me when the joy comes on. When you reach the summit, it may feel like you haven't started or that you don't have the strength to finish strong but the fact is that no matter how stressful it feels, you have to keep going until you get there.
Curious about what this project defense was all about in your school. Os it some military project of sort? Or what do you mean by "defense"?
You should I think.
Keep on writing.
Cheers.
