Coming Storm, Hierophant, Neuromancer & A Dessert Throne were all released as singles to promote for this album. I must admit the anticipation was well received, but also half of the album I must note.
This is probably the biggest advertising campaign the band has ever engaged in with digital audiences, they were not active much on social media before the last few years. Septicflesh was previously Septic Flesh.
I last seen Septicflesh live in Calgary, Alberta 8 years ago when they released their Titan album.
Review
The symphonic sounds are still genuine and true to their originals, the only criticism I might add with the overall sound is that the drums are much quieter in this recording mix. I prefer a very aggressive snare and kicks, but this album seems to focus a bit more on the symphonic aspects of their sound.
Neuromancer specifically reminds me that they have kept their sound and perfected it over the years, its my favorite off the album after listening to the first whole play through of Modern Primitive.
Modern Primitives has a nice showcase of their clean lyrics from Sotiris Anunnaki V. who has always done a great job backing up Seth Siro Anton who is still the front man for all of these compositions.
The symphony drives every song as usual, so if symphonic metal is not for you that may the one exception of people who might not enjoy this compostion.
First Impression 9/10
I can safely safe this entire album is worth listening, let me know what you think in the comments.
Videos
As I said this was a large advertising camping and there was 4 videos for this album, don't miss out. They are all great.
