Even though physicians and doctors prescribe drugs and carryout surgeries, it is God that heals. The best any physician can do is to care. They care, God heals
Healing.
Psalms 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Healing is a process of restoration to a normal state. There must be a disease or a kind of abnormal condition of the body, mind or Spirit before healing could take place. It is in the will of God that his children are in good health in Spirit, soul and the body. Hence, the process of healing requires the touch and intervention of the almighty God.
There are many instances in the bible where God showed himself as Jehovah rapha-the God that heals he uses this name for himself as thebGod who heals.
Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
When you read the entire old and new testament of the bible, you will see various forms God showed himself to his people as Jehovah rapha-the God that heals

He is the God who as the ability to cure any ailment(name it). As much as he does this, he is also interested in restoring his relationship with his people. Of course Jesus brought to us the healing power of God as we can see in the bible where he healed all manner of diseases. The core reason while he came to us is to restore back our state of health by bridging the gap between God and Man. This is the greatest form of healing humanity could ever pray for. Man can now have access to GOD because of the antidote of sin(sickness & diseases). In view of this fact, he is also interested in the healing of our bodies. That was why he was wounded even for our sake.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
The healing of our bodies and infirmities was completed on the Cross. Our God has made a right way for us to stand before him so that we can be restored in all round through his son Jesus Christ.
However,
Obedience to God's word will always work as preventive measures against sickness and diseases.

There is a conditional statement attached to our healing both the preventive and curative measure. It is if we diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord.
The Mercy of the Lord is always available for everyone that needs his healing in every form. This can only be attained if we would do that which is right in his sight.
In conclusion.
Listen carefully to the voice of the Lord and obey his commandments, Serve the Lord lord your God with all your heart, humble yourself, pray and turn from your wicked ways. You can as well call for the elders of the church to pray for you.
James 5:14-15. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
It is always in the will of the Father that we are completely restored from our fallen state.(Spirit, soul and body).
