Look not within. Look unto God.

Life, they say, "is full of ups and downs" As much as this saying makes a lot of sense to a natural man, I will say it is what is to one whose got no direction and purpose. When a man has come to understand what purpose is, the ups and downs experienced in life will be a stepping stone to move in the direction of destiny until it is fulfilled. As a being created by God, it is expedient to understand purpose and the direction to follow in the quest to fulfiling destiny.

The purpose of life must be discovered and it is far more than our personal achievements and goals. We all must first understand that "it all begins with God" as much as our achievements seems important, I tell you, you will not fulfil purpose of all your achievements is for your personal gain and use. Purpose can not be discovered and fulfiled outside him that created us. You see! He made us for a purpose and the first thing to understand is that "it will take him that created us to discover and fulfil why he created us"
LOOK NOT WITHIN.. This is a statement against the order of how the world sees the discovering of purpose. They will tell you to look within yourself and there you'll find purpose. I have come to inform you that life's purpose cannot be discovered when you look within. As a matter of fact, "The easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the creator for it" You cannot discover the purpose of life let alone fulfil it when all you do is look within. The reason why you cannot fulfil purpose outside God is simply because, you did not create yourself. Judging by the scriptures, you cannot even determine how you look physically.

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Your height, weight, colour, family, hair, teeth, e.t.c were not determined by your very self. The verse above succinctly established that even by worrying, in other words, by looking within, by taking thought, one cannot even add to his stature. Are you ready to give it a try? Can you actually add to your stature just by taking thoughts? Never! It wont work. That's the same thing that will happen to us if we do not look unto the one(God) who made and formed us.

look not within.

Many at times, I have in so many ways heard from motivational speakers about how often one should look within. They come up with theories about how you and only you alone can discover and fulfil your purpose. Not knowing that focusing on yourself will never reveal our life's purpose let alone fulfil it.

Life's purpose for him(God). Not our personal gains, ambitions and goals. Our personal goal and God's purpose are two different things.
Our personal goal can be achieved via speculations, theorizing and self actualization. No doubt about it, when you put your mind in it, it can be achieved. But let's see what the Bible has to say about this:

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

As much as our personal goal seems good to us, it's not worth it when all our life and pursuit is channeled towards actualising it outside God's purpose. However, God's purpose for our life can be discovered by God's word(Christ) as it is been revealed unto us.
The big question having established the fact that life's purpose cannot be discovered and fulfiled by looking within one's self is 'how can we all discover God's purpose for us?'
It is as direct as
1 ° Understand that it is not about us, it is all about God. This understanding comes only when we acknowledge and him.

Proverbs 3:5-6.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

2° Cultivate an intimate relationship with Christ. This is another sure way to getting life's purpose revealed unto us. Cultivating a relationship with God is far fetched. He is right there beckoning unto you. In him you find purpose. Through him, you'll receive direction on how to fulfil the purpose. By him, purpose is fulfilled. Looking within in other words as earlier stated is synonymous to trusting one's self. It means leaning on your own understanding. The Bible also established that

Acts 17:27-28.

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

If you are reading this and you have not experienced the joy of having an intimate fellowship with God, this is an opportunity to do so. Say this prayer with me
Lord Jesus! Thank you for your death on the cross of Calvary. Thank you for spearing my life till now. Thank you for by this I know you wanted me to fulfil purpose. I request that you be my personal Lord and savior. Come into my life today. I receive you into my heart in Jesus name. Help me discover the purpose I was created for. I henceforth look unto you for help! Amen!

Thank you for your time.
