High Sense Perceptions (and how to achieve them)

in health •  3 years ago

HSP [high sense perception] is simply a way to receive information through the use of the natural built-in senses that we already have but most people simply do not acknowledge, much less know how to use. So they simply do not develop the ability to do so.

[...]

Someday, with the help of science, we will develop instruments to find and measure the energy consciousness fields that are (from my perspective) an intimate part of life. Yet in order to research something, one must become curious about observed phenomena. Then one must have some ideas about what one is observing and what to look for.

It is even better to have some personal experiences that spark the curiosity to find the right questions. Then questions can be asked through observations. Questions lead to more questions and eventually to some hypothesis to check out. Then one can eventually postulate a theory, check the theory with experimental evidence, and eventually, with hard work, prove or disprove it. There is always more on the horizon.

And therein lies the deep difference between the inner-scientist, the esoteric scientist, and the mere believer.

Believe nothing - perceive, experience, know, understand, create. Grow up.

It was only later that I found out that the phenomenon was discussed in esoteric literature and made to be mysterious. It was called the aura, a term I have never liked. There was an “aura” of specialness around those who could perceive the aura. I never considered it to be mysterious. It is not. I simply observe another natural phenomenon that is actually quite similar to what I had measured at NASA. There is only one major difference. This phenomenon is intimately associated with life and directly related to life experience. The big problem is that, from what I know now, this phenomenon has never actually been measured well. I think that this is because there are additional measurements needed to understand it, such as a clearer understanding of consciousness and the conscious experience of life. Are there ways to measure it? Such a study, then, would become a marriage of the science of physics, neurology, and psychology, and possibly something new that no one knows yet. Until then, I will make do with what I have to offer about this wonderful phenomenon from which we can learn a great deal about ourselves and the living world of which we are a part.

This made me laugh, as I also dislike the aura around auras. There is here in action a psychological trick, something I may call the "superiority of ignorance", as is fairly similar to the "illusion of competence". All those "I can perceive something beyond science" postures, I find deeply pathetic. Having the perception without the understanding does not, in any way, elevate such experiences as "beyond science" - merely beyond personal understanding, possibly also beyond current public understanding of current public science. The claim that something cannot as yet be measured is totally different to the claim that it can't, by some self-serving definition. Not knowing is OK - live with it, as it is the source of further investigations.

There is nothing beyond science, there are merely extensions of science. If you some allergic reaction to the word "science", too bad; call it something else, such as knowledge, natural philosophy or reality.

To claim anything exists but cannot be measured is a purely metaphysical claim that tells us nothing about the universe - apart from the existence of such claims.

What I do find surprising is that Brennan did not have access to sensitive measuring devices. I have described before my very rudimentary experiments with Hall probes that measure static magnetic fields. That is where I would start looking. But perhaps the book is written chronologically, she later mentions that it may require simultaneous measurements. This is potentially interesting, as I think experiences such as consciousness cannot be defined by one single frequency, but rather a cluster of frequencies that superpose. However, there is a branch of physics that has been kept under wraps for a good 150 years; it is now known as scalar electromagnetism, and is intimately linked to zero-point energy. I don't wish to take a long detour, but you can do so at meyl.eu!

Let us also not forget that the experiences themselves are forms of measurements - we have over 20 sensory devices in our body (and counting), so the idea that we have perceptors that we mostly do not perceive out of ignorance and lack of use, is not far-fetched but merely stating the obvious.

Curiosity

Curiosity leads to observation

that leads to investigation

that leads to discovery

that leads to understanding

that leads to applications

that then improve our lives!

Where is your curiosity?

From my perspective, there is a relationship between this black velvet void, teeming with un-manifest life, and the quantum mechanics concept of zero point field. Since the black velvet void and the zero point field are the sources of all manifestation, I believe they are one and the same. One is understood from the perspective of direct spiritual experience, and the other from the perspective of quantum physics.

Gotta smile :-D

Thanks to Tino, @famigliacurione, for suggesting her books. The above quotes are from just the first 20 pages or so of Core Light Healing - My Personal Journey and Advanced Healing Concepts by Barbara Ann Brennan. The first sections are a condensation of her first two books, so one can see the whole theory - and the experiences that inform the theory. Without having the experiences anything can appear as "just a theory". Even something as common as riding a bike is expanding perceptions by learning to use new sensors, in this case to achieve dynamic stability.

Enough to chew on, methinks.

But, one has to chew - not just read about chewing.

Great post, Mate! Wasn't sure if you would have liked Barbara's work or not. I read her first two books - Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field and Light Emerging: The Journey of Personal Healing - many years ago, but then lost track of her work. I love that she respects science, and combines it with the esoteric world. I learned a lot from her. What I also liked very much is that she built a school to teach others how to develop their perception, adding to the number of human instruments available to measure the phenomenon, and hopefully build material instruments to further assist in the process. I never was able to perceive the Human Energy Field visually, but this is because I am very kinesthetic, and so perceive things better through the sense of touch.

And some of us overthink things.
We have been taught how to think by not using our innate HSP. When a thought first occurs to us, we have been taught to think it over, to apply logic, to see what "smarter" people think of it, before we believe. I believe that first thought is your HSP in action. We know much more than we have been conditioned to think we know.

A bear can sense an electric fence around a beehive, and won't go near it. Some say the bear smells the fence. Others say it feels the dangerous frequencies. Maybe it uses the six sense she seems to be calling HSP, and just knows.

I suspect most are in more danger of underthinking - mmm... more danger to others too!

The awareness of what one is doing is more important than being spontaneous - how can one tell if being genuine or cracked!? But yes, the book goes on to explain the many ways kids are taught total bollox - and told to obey shit! Even worse tho, is parents being unaware of how scared kids are even when being protected. The one thing I took away from reading Freud was ow fragile the psyche is.

Bears prob have magnetoreceptors - many animals do - sharks are scared away by high fields.

Humans also have biomagnetites but nobody knows what they are used for ;-)

Underthinking for themselves, yes.

I'm starting to think that existing at the "higher levels," whatever they are scientifically, is much simpler than we have been led to believe, and requires no effort or thought at all.

Awareness, yes. A deep awareness of the messages of your own body. But this requires no thought at all. I've been trying to operate more on this level, to be aware of my initial impressions, my first urges, my first thoughts, and to consider those as true.

I'm not sure what a biomagnetite is, but I know that when I touch a device that is using wifi, I feel a zing. I know when I take hours off of online activity, touching electrical devices, I feel calmer. Humans have been taught to ignore these sensations, to ignore the red flags their own bodies are putting up. Bears still trust themselves. We look to others for answers.

prob using the earth wire of the device, if cannot jut walk barefoot on earth.

I think one has to be careful with "first thought good" as it could also be your trained defence response. To be aware is good, and then can judge if it is a learnt response or truly natural. Else we're in the same place as the woketards who feel every trigger response is justified.

I have seen so much talk about this field of energy around every living thing and the closest thing to finding some proof its existence was either through psychedelics such as dmt experiences and magic mushrooms visuals to Dr. Reich's discovery of Orgone.

I have read many "how to see auroras" articles and found them to be very silly such as staring at your toes for a very long time or at someone else and then closing your eyes and opening them.

Some say its that little blur of light that is hardly visible unless your in the right setting lol. Yea ok.

I won't say it doesn't exist maybe, but I haven't seen for myself whether any of it is true except through psychedelics, whoch is a subjective matter, there was far more "lights" and energies going on than just what was around a living thing.

I experienced seeing light particles traveling through the ground and around me, through me, and beyond. But in the real world, as you mentioned, what instruments can measure this "spectrum of light?" Can it really be seen and experienced with the human eyes or is it all just a fantasy thing?

;-)

One avenue is that sensations from another sensor are transduced into visual info. Not so different to V2K turning microwaves into the perception of sound.

I don't have huge experience here - apart from a few people coming up to me - oh, what a huge...erm... aura you have! I'm like, yeah ok, thanks. But I have been in a healing environment where I could sense another's energy, altho it came through as just light and dark zones. Longish story, but I kinda zapped the guy - then turned the power down. lmao. This was at a distance of about 2 metres. But it did require a meditation state. Brennan describes a richness of colours I haven't seen.

Weird , i always thought it was from tiredness , i can see purple around my body and blue on some people , no other colors .
I have heard the aura can be seen with a special camera but never believed it , because they say , colors change with the mood so whats the point ?
Interesting anyway because colors and sounds , vibrations is what we are 💜

I remember an experiment on hamsters of different light effecting the pineal gland, which is essentially just another eye. So this experiment showed that blue light reduced greatly the melatonin while infrared light did jist the opposite.

As for v2k, that is a topic I have not delved into completely.

Barbara is a long-time supporter of Wilhelm Reich's work through his number one student Alexander Lowen, and the field of Bioenergetics. I remember years ago, someone wrote an article in defense of Barbara's abilities by suggesting that there are humans who are colorblind, and hence the world of color is something unknown to them, but that world of color still exists. The same would be able to apply to those with this kind of High Sensory Perception, in that we normal people cannot see this extended world of light and color because our eyes do not allow it, just as the eyes of a colorblind person cannot see our common spectrum of colors.
