The Value of Good Health

I often write about Health and Well being and I believe that it is important to keep this going on in our mind 24x7, what is the value of good health. Young people are getting cardiac arrest, by the age of 30 hair greying starts, young kids have insulin problems. All of this is not common. Simple things like hair greying also reflects on our health. Our outer appearance talks about our inner health. Freckles, blemishes, dark spots, skin pigmentation are all signs of lack of vitamins in the body. It clearly tells us that things are not right internally, but what we do is rather then correcting those internal problems, we look for external support to cover those problems.

We spend money on expensive makeups and cover up with that. Rather the thing should be that we should be taking medical help to understand what is wrong, what is deficient and work on covering that up. Everyone wants easy life, we are willing to spend on medicals but we are not willing to spend on good quality food which comes at a higher cost no doubt. Many people choose to buy expensive clothes and accessorize to enhance their outer appearance and then eat junk food which destroys their inner-health.

If people can focus on enhancing their inner beauty, half the hospitals will run out of business. Meditation, Yoga, Walking, Physical exercise, Good sleep, Music, Dancing, Reading all of these will help to enhance our mental health and a good mindful diet will enhance our physical health. Not difficult at all but yet we choose to not follow it. People put up pictures on instagram and facebook smoking and drinking and they feel it's all good style and entertainment. I wonder some times what do they even want to show to the world. I get so put off watching those pictures of smoking hookah and taking pride in it, not realizing that this is quite shameful what you are doing. It is abusing your own body and taking pleasure out of it.

Majority of the youngsters are going in this direction. They feel that smoking and drinking are very cool things and that kind of gives them some status in their circle. In the olden times, by the time the person gets to the age of 45 to 50 then they start having some health issues, in the last 2 decades that age has come down to 30 to 35 and may be in future that will come down further and you never know by 20 to 25 only people will start getting all the possible health issues. Majority of the people are daily having some or the other pills to keep up with their health. Taking any pill for a longer time surely gives some side effects to the body.

It is important to value our own body and take care of our health. Following a healthy lifestyle needs sacrifices but they are worth it in comparison to the results we will get.
