When we talk about our good health, we have many important things to consider. Our Diet and Exercise are the two most important things that come to our mind when we talk about good health. But there is one more important thing which is very essential and that is a good sleep. We hear of cases of people who follow very healthy diet and doing regular exercise getting heart attack or other health issues, and one of the reasons for them can be lack of good quality sleep.

Do you observe your sleep patterns. How many times do you wake up at night, how many hours of deep sleep do you get, do you wake up suddenly at night, what are the reasons, is it to go to the washroom or it's just some other disturbance. Some years back when my hubby was seriously ill with the condition of Myasthenia Gravis, his first symptoms were lack of sleep. He would barely sleep 4 hrs. and that too a disturbed sleep. He would not realize but in his sleep his muscles would reflex. I would tell him, that there is something wrong, and he would say it's just work stress. Then 6 months down the line he was diagnosed with the condition.

When we sleep our body and brain go on switch off mode and go into the repair mode, hence if we have had a good quality sleep, we wake up fresh feeling good. When we do not sleep well and enough the mind also feels tired. The cortisol level rises in the body and that creates problems of anxiety and stress.
Personally, I believe that a 7-hour sleep is very important for the mind and body to rejuvenate.
The natural process of our body is so wonderfully designed. If we just follow that we can live a very healthy life.
