Health care, medical care, or health care is the enhancement or maintenance of health through the diagnosis, prevention, diagnosis, recovery, and treatment of diseases, ailments, injuries, and even mental and physical impairments in the human body. Health care providers are medical practitioners and allied health professions.

Medical care encompasses all facets of medical science. It includes the provision of treatment for people afflicted with illnesses that affect their health and physical conditions such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, blood pressure, asthma, and so on.

Health care practitioners (physicians) who specialize in providing the necessary treatment to patients suffering from diseases. They can treat minor diseases such as colds, coughs, flu, chills, fever, and stomach disorders. They also diagnose and treat serious diseases including HIV/AIDS, diabetes, hepatitis, leukemia, cancer, bone marrow transplantation, kidney failure, and even Parkinson's disease.

The types of health care vary depending on the type of ailment or health problem you have. For instance, an ambulance driver provides ambulance service to the sick and the injured, and he has to be qualified to drive ambulances. An emergency room doctor specializes in treating minor medical problems like acute respiratory distress syndrome, allergic reactions, burns and cuts, fractures, bruises, cuts and sprains. He is responsible for diagnosing and treating these disorders and diseases.

If you have a problem that you need to be addressed immediately then it is better to see a doctor at the onset of your ailment. If you are already having some problems and you have been given some medications to solve these problems then you may want to see a physician or doctor about your problem so that he/she can prescribe you medicines for your ailment. A doctor or a physician may prescribe you anti-convulsants to help you deal with panic attacks if you are feeling panic while being in a crowded public place.

There are also medical practitioners who are called nurses. Medical nurses are responsible for providing medical care for the patients in various hospitals and clinics. They are responsible to provide assistance for the patients who are sick and injured in various medical facilities. The most common jobs of these nurses are to give injections and intravenous fluids into patients, to clean the patients' wounds, to prepare them for surgery and give injections, to assist doctors when the patient is placed in the operating room, to administer medications and to perform lab tests. and so on.

Medical assistants, on the other hand, are professionals who are assigned to patient care duties and assist doctors in providing basic care. Medical assistants are also called clinical nurse. They are responsible for assisting doctors with the patients' health history, medical history, physical examination, taking x-rays, handling patients' laboratory tests, preparing lab reports, and so on. Medical assistants are also responsible for the administration of certain medications that are administered to the patients.

Nurses are also known as nursing aides. These professionals play a vital role in the health care system and they are also responsible for taking care of the patients' basic needs by giving them nutrition, ensuring the patients are comfortable during their stay, and helping the patients to maintain their personal hygiene. They provide aid to patients who are unable to attend to their own health care.

There are different health care systems in United States of America. These health care systems differ in different areas like the type of health care professionals and the area of service provided. The medical system includes licensed doctors and nurses, clinics and other related centers, medical professionals such as registered nurses and other nursing assistants, and other allied health care professionals such as therapists, dieticians, speech pathologists, and so on. These health care professionals and allied health care professionals are trained to provide the best care for their patients.

Another category of health care services is the dental care services. Dental care services are provided by dental hygienists, pediatricians and other associated health care professionals. Some of these services include but are not limited to cleaning teeth, filing insurance claims, and so on. Dental care services are provided by professional staff who are trained and certified in treating diseases, illnesses, injuries and infections.

The health care industry has changed dramatically and health care services are being offered by different professionals across the board. These professionals are skilled in providing the best services to their respective patients and the care providers.
