In our country, Venezuela, we are fortunate to have a great climate, since the four seasons do not occur, only a rainy period, which in theory goes from May to November, and a dry one, which goes from December to April; and in most of the states the temperature is warm. Obviously a person who does not tolerate high temperatures can feel uncomfortable, although here we normally have air conditioning in the houses, offices and cars, which we use freely, since electricity is practically free, its cost is very low.

As you can see, now is the rainy season, although I lived in a city (Maturin) where it rained almost every day, which I enjoyed very much because I was a child and we played there.

But I have noticed that these days it has been raining with a lot of lightning and thunder, the sky lights up completely and the noise is intimidating. My son is very scared by these kinds of storms and he was like that until almost three o'clock in the morning today. I was next to him in bed because he fell asleep restlessly and woke up often to the sound of thunder, so let's just say we didn't sleep very well.

It happens very often, that with the rains there are also power cuts and this time was no exception, it started around 12 AM and was reconnected at 9 AM. Since our kitchen is electric, it was then that my husband was able to put our bread in the oven (since the quarantine began we always eat freshly baked bread and I had prepared the dough yesterday so that my husband could bake it when he woke up).

It is amazing how sunny the day is now. Here the sky can be totally gray and the next hour totally radiant. It's something that makes me laugh, it seems to me that this is where the weather has fun and changes as it wants and when it wants, because it doesn't matter if it's in the so-called dry or rainy period, so that the intense sun or the playful rain is present. I love everything our country has to offer, even in the current situation, I conceive it as the best place to live, it is a blessed land, and as in every storm, calm will come, and in this world, as well as in our country, everything will be better when we learn to be better people.
