I don't like to say goodbye to Christmas. Of all the months of the year, December is the month that makes me the happiest, I think it's for several reasons: the joy and warmth of the people during these dates, perhaps because of the holidays at work that influence a little to this joy, to see how people take care to decorate every space so that the Christmas atmosphere is present, I like from the lights to the uninhibited food of the calories that are made for dinner, the decorated doors, seeing the children's faces when they open their presents at the foot of the Christmas tree and above all the meaning that this date has for Christians, which is the celebration of the arrival of God on the 25th of December for some and for others on the 24th of December.
In my country Christmas is not over yet, according to the time zone in my place there is still an important date to celebrate and that is the 6th of January which is the arrival of the Magi, I especially like this day because it closes with a flourish a beautiful Christmas month, that is when we remember the three wise men who followed a star in search of a king that according to the prophecy said that they would see God and when they arrived they gave myrrh, gold and incense to that baby, gold and incense to that baby, that act of faith is revived in these dates through small gifts that are given to everyone and there comes my favorite part which is that now not only children are given gifts but to everyone, and the best thing is that you can ask for gifts to everyone because these gifts are simple and anyone can fulfill them, I went ahead today and put in my WhatsApp status my usual brief and precise letter to the kings asking for whiteboard markers so I can write and teach my students, actually it was a subliminal message to my students who see my status on WhatsApp so on Monday I think I will receive my gift of kings, I am also planning to ask for presents for myself tomorrow, which because they are simple anyone can give them, tomorrow I will be asking for coconut ice cream or to go out for a while to the park, I for my part will also give my loved ones a delicious chocolate cake to share this beautiful day to give end to this stage of Christmas.
Although tomorrow is the last day of Christmas, joy and nostalgia come together in me making me feel sad, nostalgic and at the same time happy because it is the end of a beautiful and beautiful date where that Spirit that is given in the month of December is gone and we return to the hard reality with 359 days left to fight and work to improve, well that's life, the so precious holidays are over.
Well, actually I speak as if Christmas is already over hehehe, I still have one day left to celebrate here in my time zone it is still January 5th so tomorrow if God wills I can uncork the last Christmas wine to celebrate what once was the arrival of the magi to Jerusalem guided by a star to give incense, Some call them Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar, however the Bible does not reflect those names nor that there were three magi, it is speculated that there were three because of the gifts they gave, which were three: Myrrh, gold and incense for that reason they say that there were three and they were also called magicians but in ancient times this is how scientists were called, nowadays they would have been called Astronomers as these had the profession of observing the movement of the planets, galaxies and other celestial bodies and particularly the stars that they visualised rudimentarily based on the writing of the ancients.
Well that is the story behind this date called Christmas which is joined with another important date which is the culmination of the 365 days in which the sun ends its journey around the planet and in the west at least means the arrival of a new year, of course not everyone celebrates the new year as for example countries like India, Arab countries and some Asian countries where they have their new year date guided by their calendars.
For my part I believe that there are reasons to celebrate Christmas from my belief because Christmas is actually called Nativity which means birth, of course there are many who celebrate Christmas just to celebrate it and not for the symbol and meaning behind a story but that is part of the beliefs and culture of each person that is respected, For some it is a very beautiful date for others it doesn't mean much and that is also valid, for now I can say that I celebrate these dates for the special and so much so that in my heart it is as if there were fireworks, taking out the danger of these, it is beautiful to see a sky full of fireworks in these special days.
Well friends, I am already in the process of finishing my Christmas, you may have already said goodbye to these dates depending on your time zone, so my New Year wish is that it be prosperous for you and yours and that health, love and possibilities occur abundantly in our lives, that is my wish and I hope yours too, see you in a next post.
