Haiku challenge week 2 ‘Mushroom’

I couldn’t have a mushroom theme without paying homage to my favourite kind.

The photo above is an old painting of mine from 2009. I guess it’s a toadstool she’s sitting on but I felt it still fitting 😊

The one below is from a wonderful party I attended with my friend Gemma at a mushroom farm in northern England.

These were of the non magic variety (although I’m pretty sure they would’ve been around that evening too 😆) gourmet ones that were sold to restaurants apparently. It was a cool place for a party for sure.

But I digress, this is a haiku post...

Smooth protruding dome
Penetrating the surface
Oh tiny mushroom 🍄

I’ll probably think up some more over the week. I’m sure you guys can come up with way better ones than mine 😆

Yours are brilliant and I love the contextual details too. Wow, a mushroom party! Nnow that sounds better than tupperware! And I love your picture.

YES!! Consuming shrooms is definitely stepping into the world of nature. Although last time I had them I got super anxious and had to stroke a fluffy possum skin for hours. Don't worry it's a thing, they sell them in New Zealand and a friend had bought one back. I'd love to microdose them!

You also captured how the dome breaks the surface of the soil. Great job - love it! I am excited about reading mushroom poems all week - I hope we get loads of them!
