Went with my friend to this amazing activity centre in Wandsworth. There is go-karting, slot machine type games, bowling, indoor golf and lots of things that I didn’t even get to explore. We did the karting but when we were there we saw the squid games game. It was pretty expensive at £30 each, I’m pretty tempted to do it another time, has anyone tried it? What we did do though was go-karting and it was so much fun and guess what I actually despite it being my first time Go-karting took one for the women and won. I knew I was pretty fast from about the third lap so I was expecting to do pretty well but I thought I would be about third or fourth so I’m super happy to find out that I actually came in first place, the people that I thought took me over I must’ve already laped. We were actually given some quite strict rules about not hitting people when overtaking and only doing it when there is a clear route and if there is a red light we all had to stop. So I messed up my first round because I was super polite, I was playing by the rules I saw a red light and I actually stopped because I thought we were meant to and about three people just charged past me knocking me out the way so then the game was on! After the first round I pulled it together and I don’t think I hit the break once, accelerated round every corner at some point my wrist actually hurt and I felt like I was gonna get whiplash LOL but it was all worth it for the game. I was actually pretty relieved when we would get all the cars slowed down because somebody had had an accident since it meant we got a bit of a break from the speed without losing pace. Other than that I did all the corners on full acceleration and if someone got in my way they were totally being barged out. I learnt it’s not a game where you can be polite and nice if you want to win. I actually almost chose my race name as the winner just for jokes but thought hole embarrassing it would be if I came last but in hindsight I’m actually glad I chose Sarah Louise because it’s super girly and all the guys that raced are gonna know they got beaten by a girl and I love that satisfaction, we’ve all got to have a bit of ego. 😬
