We have a big problem with Grackles.
They arrive every spring and take over the nests of the other birds.
They kill the baby robins, Cardinals, doves , sparrows, finches and other very beautiful song birds.
They go into the other bird nests and kill the babies. They hatch their own babies in the other bird’s nest. Then they collect their baby grackle poop and drop it into bird baths, ponds, pools, and especially on the roofs of new cars.
I hate grackles.
They have taken over the area.
They are filled with disease.
A Grackle with it’s baby poop in its beak.
So today I decided to start broadcasting the very loud Sound of Crows, their natural predator.
I will see if this works. I will post my Crow sound Grackle warfare experiments on Dtube.
This is the sound of the Crows that I am playing in the garden at the moment. The grackles are going beserk!
They don’t know what to do …. It looks like they are trying to escape the area.

GRACKLES SPREAD DISEASE
Grackles are able to spread a number of different diseases through their droppings. Many of these diseases can become airborne and can be transferred by just being around bird droppings!
Diseases that are associated with grackles include: Histoplasmosis, Candidiasis, and Salmonellosis. Histoplasmosis is a respiratory disease that is caused by fungi that grow inside grackle droppings that can be fatal. Candidiasis is a yeast infection that causes painful itching in the mouth, skin, the respiratory system and the intestines. Salmonellosis is often described as “food poisoning” but can also be found in grackle droppings. Contamination in the ventilators or air conditioners can contaminate air, food and surfaces.
