Yemeni Iftar 🇾🇪

in goodness •  9 months ago

As I am in Saudi Arabia this Ramadan. I am fortunate to have experienced the diversity of cultures and traditions here. My neighbors are from Yemen.

While I was figuring it out and setting up my house and kitchen during the holy month of Ramadan, unaware of the customs and surroundings of the place. One fine day I suddenly got a knock on my door just a few minutes before iftar time. My husband and I were amazed and looked at each other with utter curiosity as we had no expected guests nor did we know anyone here.

With extreme curiosity, my husband opened the door. Here came such a huge tray full of food for Iftar. I was extremely humbled by this gesture of their friendship. May Allah reward them with a lot of barkah and Afiyah.

As it was said, good Neighbors are also a blessing from Allah and even the neighbors will have a right over us and our rizq. I am thankful to Allah for this naymat.
