There are many stats in terracore that plays various different roles like helping defend the base or attacking someone. We have some virtual miners and there we have Engineering as the stat effecting the rate at which the miners are mining the scraps ( the in game token for terracore ) for us.
Now there are so many levels for these stats and in this particular blog i aim to discuss when to upgrade our engineering to be on the safer side and atleast not losing our mined scraps due to the wrong Engineering level of our terracore base. So stay with me as i am going to share things based on my experience in the game.
Why is Engineering a dangerous stat ?
Now there is a reason why i call Engineering a dangerous stat and that is what i will discuss about initially and then we will automatically understand about the right time to take our engineering to next level.
Engineering is the factor that decides how much scraps will be mined per hour, for example at Engineering level 6 you mine 1.02 scraps per hour and that makes 4.08 scraps approx by the time you reach the minimum withdrawal window.
Now if by mistake you upgraded your engineering to 10 with low defensive stats then what will happen? You will start mining more scraps because of higher engineering level but at the same time you will start losing more of these scraps becaue of the low defensive stats.
At level 10 you will mine 10+ scraps before the withdrawal time arrives and that means you end up losing these scraps to any random amount as holding 10 scraps was not possible for you. Now because of this you will start collecting claims and using them before four hour window is reached.
But once you use all of them you will again start losing the scraps for 32 hours as there are total 8 claims given to a player at a 4 hour time interval.In short you will effect your battle log as well as earnings badly and that is why if engineering is not upgraded properly it can be a dangerous stat for sure.
How to identify the right time
The answer to this question is quite simple, first of all you shoulf never upgrade the engineering multiple times at once. Always go with single engineering upgrade and then test that level of engineering for few days before you decide to upgrade to next level.
For example my engineering is currently at 6 and i am able to protect upto 7+ scraps for myself while i am mining only 4 scraps approx every fourth hour. that means i can mine upto 2-3 more scraps safely without losing them so i can upgrade my engineering by one level.
So remember that you have to upgrade in parts i.e you have to upgrade one level at a time specially your engineering. Test/Observe the stats altogether before deciding and taking your next step.
