Think, Plan & Action

From wherever we are right now if we want to change our situation we need to look forward. If we keep reflecting on our current situation and keep feeling sad about it or complaining about it, then we will never be happy nor will we be able to find solutions. Rather than having worrying thoughts and not leading to anywhere, if we start thinking about how can I get out of this situation or what can I do to improve it and make things better for me, then we will surely be able to bring the desired changes in our lives.

I am saying this with regards to a conversation I had with one person I know. This person has not been doing very well in his career for a very long time. He does not have a very good education base also that can help him in any way. Since past many years I have heard him complaining on this matter that his career is not getting anywhere. And since many years some of us have also given him advice that he should take up some education which can help him boost his career, but he has not been willing to do that. Years are flying by with the same situation and the same complaint. Imagine if he would have taken that advice 8 to 10 years ago itself and worked on it, he would had been in a different situation and probably a better one.

Life is all about the choices we make. Everything we cannot blame it on destiny. If we make wrong choices or if we do not take any action only in the first place like this person, then we also need to be ready for the consequences. Life is not always about bed of roses, challenges will come up, but we need to find solutions and work them out and not get stuck into them and get into the self-victim mode. There will be times when we may have to make tough choices to overcome the situation, we may also have to deal with our ego which may not be allowing us to compromise if needed. If I want to succeed in some goal, I have to work towards it, it will not happen by itself by me just sitting and wishing that it will happen. Whatever the situation is, we may be stuck in toxic relationships, we may be unhappy without jobs, we may have some health issues or anything but to move out of these tough situations of life we need to look forward and think about how can we get out of this situation and then take action to make it happen.

If we have a health issue, just feeling sorry about it will not help. If we really want to be completely cured, just medicines may also not help. We need to look at it holistically to heal our body and then work towards it. To sit and complain, we will lead nowhere rather we will be in the same rut forever.
