After 4 months of all-out attacks, Israel (backed by the USA and an axis of Western nations) has only managed to kill 2% of the prisoners of Gaza. Here's the current death toll, showing all the years from 2008 until October 2023, and the 4 months since:
Including about 8,000 bodies lost under the rubble, there are more than 40k confirmed dead Gazans since the start of the genocide. That's 2% of the total deathcamp population.
So despite dropping 2000 pound bombs onto crowded hospitals, schools, refugee camps, and designated safe zones, and despite starving the population, and despite shooting women and children waving white flags, Israel is having trouble slaughtering people fast enough. Unarmed women and children, malnourished and living in makeshift tents, find a way to evade bullets and live on.
Much of the world has long ago had enough. My country (Canada) still officially supports Israel's actions, but most people here see it as wrong. An increasing number see it as ethnic cleansing. Most would prefer peace. I think it's that way around the world.
Israel keeps announcing "this is going to take a long time". Yes, genocide is slower than you'd think. And resistance grows by the day. The remaining Gazans, demoralized and suffering immensely, can only try to hold on until the world finally puts a stop to this tragedy.
DRutter
Ethnic cleansing is what people say it most of the times. A year old baby, a new born baby, a eighty year old woman or a man, a person who is blind, and many more like them.
Killing them is easy and justifying it by saying ethnic cleansing. This is what the world is being told.
Sad !
