Baby Avocado trees

in gardendiary •  3 years ago

These things are surprisingly hard to grow I have tried the more traditional way of leaving in water but my mum ended up having some root on the compost heap when she had thrown them away and I have the most luck just gorilla planting the seeds in all my house plants and maybe 1 in five randomly takes.

This is my biggest one right now which is a good few months old now. Then I have one that’s took off outside but kept getting eaten I bought in which is actually taller than this one just a bit sparse lol and then a new one just giving some roots

Really nice baby avocado trees, it's not too hard to make it grow up inside?

I grew an avocado to about 2 feet years ago then stupidly left it outside too long and a frost got it. Might try again now I have a poly. I know of a fig tree growing here in Ireland on a south facing wall so know it's doable. Great stuff.
