I finally put up our Old fashioned Edison Patio Lights last night...
I had them running straight but I think they look better draped from post to post ?

We have mint and English Lavendar growing along the path. It’s very fragrant...

Thanks ... I tried a few different ones before I found these. The old fashioned incandescent Edison bulbs looked the best.

You have a beautiful property. I appreciated you were close to a lot of nature, but had no idea how blessed you are. I appreciate you didn't allow your good fortune to turn you into an asshole as so many seem to do.
Are those solar powered? My mom has solar lights spread in front of various lawn sculpture in her yard, but they are suited more for Arizona where she lives.
Thanks .... we bought this property about 20 years ago ...before the prices went bananas ... it was once a farmer’s field along the river but a complete village has sprung up around us which is ok because I can cycle over to get fresh groceries every day... as we need them. I planted all the trees. Probably too many ... I wanted my own coniferous forest ... especially white pine. Then we decided to put in a salt water pool 15 years ago so now I need to keep the trees trimmed like bonsai. I will show more photos of the trees. It’s a struggle since the pines want to be 200’ tall.. but they would eventually blow over onto the house.. so lots of pruning in the spring. They are slowly looking like wind swept pine trees from Georgian Bay. It’s my yoga... a meditation to prune these trees.
The lights are not solar, I tried solar led but they were too dim ... these are old fashioned electrical powered Incandescent Edison bulbs on a timer ... on at 9:00 pm and off at midnight ....
We spend all our time here ... or kayaking on the river ... or camping in Algonquin park... or visiting family on Lake Superior and Lake Huron ... so much to see here in Ontario.
