Fresh Pomegranates from the Farm

in garden •  last year

Over the weekend we made a visit up to the Mountains and on the way we came across some of these Pomegranate farms. It is the season and they are growing in abundance on the hilly regions. There is a good amount of growth here and it looked like people did not care, because some of them had ripened up and then torn apart also. Pomegranates are quite expensive in the market and then here seeing it go waste like this I was feeling a little anxious about it.

I requested the caretaker if I could take some and he willingly agreed, I was happy with that as both me and hubby love this fruit and getting it fresh from the farm, hand picked the joy is something different.

Look at the tree it's full of Pomegranates

Size is also big and most of them have ripened up

As I mentioned some of them have already split apart

I am sure all of them must be same.

We got 7 of them. I still need to clean them up, hopefully in a day or two will do it.

That's a Pomegranate tree with just the flowers when the season has started. This picture I had clicked on another journey. Right now there are all full grown Pomegranates and no flowers were seen on the tree.
