The campaign game mode in Halo Infinity was u locked on December 8th, 2021. Players were able to for the first time continue to play as Master Chief, in a Saga that spans across the galaxy.
I will omit all spoilers that I can here, the game has very good gun mechanics, and physics. There is just a very lack luster overall impression since co op has not been enabled.
It is open world, and gigantic. It feels so empty without other players. I was playing on Heroic and didn't find it very difficult at all, this is aside from boss battles. I hope when co op is enabled this will be scaled up. There was a lot of enemies, but the size of the map was significantly larger than the amount of enemies you encountered.
The enemies are typical and standard for halo, it feels like a Halo title. There is bosses that will show up for reasons i won't spoil, but they feel like they are designed for mutiplayer.
Having playing for 11 hours today, i can say the story is interesting. I personally detest on of the characters personality, but thats just me probably.
There is some audio issues that need to be addressed, i was very annoying with the constant buzzing in a few scenes.
Verdict
Not worth the $80 if you're considering spending it, although its only $1 if you take advantage of a game pass promotion, and get 3 months for $1. There is definitely some fun to be had, but I am also playing this via game pass, i really dont feel this is worth even $50 at the moment. They need to release co op.

I gave this a 1 star review on xbox live because there us 35% 5 stars and 35% 1 star reviews, that does not represent the quality of the game, its not finished, rating it 5 stars is impossible..... 1 star is what i will keep it at until its done.
The 6 out of 10 is mainly backed by the story being relevant to my interests in Halo, its interesting and feels like it belongs in the Halo franchise.
Multiplayer only has 8 maps at the moment and is still in beta so i can't finalize my score on versus modes yet. Although there is now custom lobbies, the fact you can't play rumble pit in matchmaking is a put off too, so i will be saving my review for whe multiplayer is out of beta.

HALO is old. But not dead. I'll have to check into it personally sometime.
1 star because its not a finish product, there is no other suitable rating until all of the game is unlocked and playable. Its like telling you a pizza will be delivered, but you only get the crust and they promise the rest will be worth waiting for.
Most people would ask for a refund for that Pizza.
