Babaliba is a Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer game programmed by Víctor Ruiz, founder of Dinamic, one of the great software companies of Spanish software "golden age", in 1985. It is part of the trilogy started with Saimazoom, followed by Babaliba and ended with the amazing Abu Simbel Profanation, starring Johnnie Jones.
Babaliba is a video-adventure with fast movements and frenetic action. Colourful and big sized graphics, not forgetting we are talking about a 1985 Spectrum game.
The goal of the game could be the script of a 50's decade adventures movie starred by Clark Gable, or more recently by Indy Jones (the character that "inspired" Johnnie): Bad guy kidnapps our friend and, obviously, we must rescue him and, by the way, pick up the treasure he is keeping in the palace and also kidnap his beautiful daughter. Easy? Let's try it.
The aim we had creating this remake is honoring Dinamic, whose 20th anniversary was last year 2004 and the game itself, because this year 2005 will be its 20th anniversary too.
We started doing the game a couple of years ago, but the project has been stopped for a long time until we have decided to restart it to cooperate with REDO project at Remakes Zone.

Babaliba es un videojuego para el ordenador Sinclair ZX Spectrum programado por Víctor Ruiz, fundador de Dinamic, una de las grandes empresas de software de la "época dorada" del software español, en 1985. Forma parte de la trilogía que comenzó con Saimazoom, siguió Babaliba y finalizó con el espectacular Abu Simbel Profanation, protagonizado por Johnnie Jones.
Babaliba es una videoaventura de movimientos rápidos y acción frenética, con gráficos coloridos y de gran tamaño, sin olvidar que estamos hablando de un juego de Spectrum de 1985.
El objetivo del juego podría ser el guión de una película de aventuras de los años 50 protagonizada por Clark Gable, o más recientemente por Indy Jones (el personaje que "inspiró" a Johnnie): Un malo secuestra a nuestro amigo y, obviamente, debemos rescatarlo y, de paso, recoger el tesoro que guarda en el palacio y también secuestrar a su bella hija. ¿Fácil? Vamos a probarlo.
El objetivo que teníamos al crear este remake es rendir homenaje a Dinamic, cuyo 20º aniversario fue el año pasado 2004, y al juego en sí, ya que este año 2005 también será su 20º aniversario. Empezamos a hacer el juego hace un par de años, pero el proyecto estuvo parado durante mucho tiempo hasta que decidimos reiniciarlo para colaborar con el proyecto REDO en Remakes Zone.
