Kobo Deluxe es una versión mejorada del juego XKobo de Akira Higuchi para sistemas Unix con X11.
Kobo Deluxe agrega sonido, animación más fluida, soporte de alta resolución, aceleración OpenGL (opcional), una interfaz de usuario intuitiva basada en menús, soporte de joystick y otras características. KoboDeluxe es una versión actualizada y mejorada del shooter arcade original.
Las versiones recientes también añaden una serie de niveles de habilidad alternativos con una jugabilidad ligeramente modernizada. Kobo Deluxe usa SDL para gráficos, sonido y entradas, lo que hace posible crear y ejecutar el juego en prácticamente cualquier cosa.
