Ikeja happens to be my usual route. Journeying around, there are lots I've experienced. It was a Monday morning. "Eko oni gba igbakugba" (Lagos won't take shii). Had to do something at Ikeja, so I took a shuttle bus heading towards my heavily congested route.

There was this man sitting beside me, holding a big "Eva" table water. He kept drinking like a horse. "This man took bread and beans before leaving home or something?" I murmured.

About 10mins later, the man told the conductor that he was feeling uneasy and needed to ease himself. Dear readers, this man was cute oo...All in suit! You know those Danfo drivers na, they can be incredibly insane. So the driver said he wouldn't stop just because someone needed to urinate..."abi, when we aren't travelling to Ibadan..." I murmured. A lady from the back seat said, "when he was drinking too much water like camel, I knew something like this would happen..."

Some were even laughing at the man who seemed to be carefree about what people were saying.

We sha later begged our inhuman driver to pity the dear oga in suit. I'm such a soft-hearted man, you know. (Chuckles). After much brouhaha, the driver stopped and the man got the chance to do just as he pleased. We continued our journey in the heavy traffic. 5mins passed, our oga in suit started something else. He received a call and may be because of the noise in the bus or so, he couldn't hear clearly and had to put the phone on speaker. I just heard "Baba Uche, I forget to tell u b4 u leave house say soup don finish, u no go fit chop ur favourite eba again tonight. Shie make I cook beans and corn for u??? U know say e dey belleful u well well ..."

The man lost it finally. Completely mad. He was like, "which kind woman u be sef?? U no know say I dey inside bus niii?? U no get common sense at all."

The whole of the passengers busted into laughter. That was a hell of a way to start the day. I felt for the man anyway. That's something else - perhaps from the parallel universe.

Hope you guys enjoyed the reading...?
