Possibly the world’s smallest Goji Berry

in fruit •  2 years ago

I’ve had this goji Bush for about 2 years now or a bit more and so far it’s just flowered but never produced fruit the first year my cat kept peeing on it and scuppered it’s chances but I maNaged to prevent that by growing geraniums round the bottom and she seemed to move on lol this year looked rly promising and it seems to have produced one Goji Berry haha which is better than all previous years. I think it might be the smallest goji Berry on record 🤣

Anyone got one to challenge it?

Don't give up. Remember my pear tree that never fruited. It gave me one pear this year. They told me it would never ripen. I left it on there till it dropped off and guess what. I just ate it and it was the sweetest tastiest pear I've ever had. It's not quantity it's quality. Maybe next year you'll have lots of goji's and that was just the first practise run and I'll have a tree full of pears.

Your PEE finally works... a bit. 👍

Maybe you need to plant a PEAnut in the same pot where it is planted, because of its nitrogen-fixing bacteria roots.

oh really? does that work? I have kept her off it for over a year now but maybe it still needs a bit of healing I will try that if it'll grow in the uk ha

I haven't done it but the Pea family of plants does enrich the soil because of their unique roots which is always colonized by Nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

Also, your Pee might be acidic enough that somewhat affects the Goji plant. Acidity of the soil aside from its nutrients or the absence thereof does affect the health of plants particularly if it is potted. Miss Mag 👍
