Janakee's Wedding Day

Janakee was my closest and only best friend at university. On the 3rd of May, she had her wedding. Harith and I are invited to her wedding at Kurunegala.

As it was a long distance we had to depart early. As we had to stop by Nugegoda for a while, we left around 6 am.

We prepared some burgers in the morning for breakfast to take on the way.

We had to use the southern expressway to Kadawatha and again the central express way to Kurunagala. On the way, we faced heavy rain along the highway.

The sight along the expressway was look so beautiful. It was about 10.30 am when we reached to the wedding hall. It was slightly raining but we managed to go inside without getting wet.

The hotel looked stunning as same as the bride. It was family photo time so we directly went to take a photo.

She was dressed as a Kandian bride and his husband wore a traditional nilame dress. Janakee is beautiful in her real life and to this day she looks more beautiful.

We sat at a table and had the welcome drink. There were some other university friends who also joined for the wedding.

The lunch buffet was also so good. I enjoyed every bit of it as I missed enjoying the lunch of my own wedding. I eat lots of desserts at Janakees wedding.

After lunch, Janakee and Mudara changed to a different going-away dress and entered to the hall. My eyes filled with happy tears after seeing my gorgeous friend wearing a blue gown and holding her loved one's hand!!!

They were invited for a couple of dances and it was super romantic. Once their dance was over we also joined to dance. It was so much fun. As we were running out of time we had to say goodbye to my lovely friend.

We really enjoyed her wedding a lot. I wish her all the success and happy married life.
