I can feel
them falling
like a blanket.
Gold like her hair
a tent over me.
She wore a daisy.
My eyes stared unwavering.
Nevermore would I blink.
They shut the lid.
Now is dark
but I feel the rays,
falling on my eternal bed.
The worms feed.
I hope to nourish daisies.
I love it when the 5-minute freewrite prompt matches up to a photo I already have in my archive. This one was taken two years ago, in Sunset Memorial Park, Hoquiam, Wash.
It's one of the first photos I took with my digital camera, purchased expressly to take photos that I could use as cover images for my new Steem blog. I'm delighted to have found a new use for it.
