Element is an app to access Matrix messaging protocol.
Matrix is used by large variety of users most of which are open source advocates. Which are mostly left leaning.
But being driven away from everywhere else right leaning users are also looking into open source protocols.
What we are looking at is the left leaning open source community loosing one of their own apps because a few on the right have started to use the app.
