Lololol! A scam yet to manifest, a could be scam, that's your definition of a scam, a probable or potential scam. No wonder you think gambling is deceitful!

when you say something is backed by real dollars

and then it is discovered that it is definitely NOT backed by real dollars

that seems a bit "scammy" to me

i see, so you don't believe a ponzi scheme is a scam

unless and until the point where someone loses money

Come correct, you are calling teether a ponzi scheme?

what would you call it ?

i'm simply trying to figure out what you think qualifies as a "scam"

so we can at least agree on terminology

You are arguing that Teether is a ponzi scheme but it doesn't seem to be the case, at best, you can try and claim its a exit scam. I already gave you the definition of scam.

Like the "faith and full credit of the American people" which backs the dollar, one confidence con backing another, but in broad daylight and with the understanding at hand for all that seek it, not very deceptive. More caveat emptor.
