The French held their first round of voting for the elections for the National Assembly last Sunday.
For each constituency, any party that wins over 50% of the vote wins outright. Otherwise the top two go to the next round, plus any party who gets 12.5% goes through as well.
The markets are calm as many third placed party candidates have dropped out, to make it easier to vote against LePen. But it's not clear that voters will reject her.
If she wins an outright majority, markets may take fright, and bitcoin and gold will benefit.
